Trviva: I had CAPS LOCK on when I began typing, and I didn't realize it until I finished the word "very". I decided to keep it.
Anyway, there isn't much more to say for an update, besides the following:

*The Silent Hill movie is almost out. The previews are now on TV.
*I'm going to fix a few things on this site soon. As you have most likely noticed, the image I had below is no longer there. Oh well. It wasn't mine, anyway. I'm not even on Photobucket.

REASON FOR LATE UPDATE

At first, I just hadn't gotten around to updating the site. Then, my computer got a lot of viruses, which I'm working on fixing now. I'm not even using my computer right now......

Some News, Plus Some Lacks

Another huge lack of updates. I've decided that I will update this SHL, at minimum, the first day of every month. I'll also try to do updates during the month. Here is another update.
The RE 10th anniversary is coming up, so Capcom has decided to release REDS early. Also, in Japan, another book is being made on RE, covering the entire series. Besides that, the only interesting tidbits that I can point out are the following:

Re "Afterlife" is now being called "Extinction'.

RE4 is coming out for the PC.

Again, a major lack of updates. Sorry about that, guys.

Silent Hill Experience

"Konami today announced Silent Hill Experience, a new form of interactive UMD that promises to submerge players in all manners of spookiness. The UMD will include content from all four Silent Hill games and the upcoming feature film. You can expect interviews with the director of the movie, as well as a chat with the composer, and a slew of other DVD-like extras.
There will also be movie stills and game stills, along with a series of trailers. Perhaps the coolest aspect of the release will be a string of exclusive animated comics written by longtime Silent Hill author Scott Ciencin. There should be six in all, with each lasting around 15 minutes. From a recent presentation, these comics, illustrated by Steve Perkins and Alex Shibao, look downright impressive and should please any fan. Basically, they're a mix of 2D and 3D hand drawn art, but they're edited in a way to make them feel very dynamic. They're also partially interactive with animated transitions.
"Konami has created an entirely new genre for the PSP system, combining a variety of media onto one package and showcasing the renowned Silent Hill franchise in a way that has never been done before," said Wilson Cheng, Product Manager, Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. "Fans of the Silent Hill series and horror fans alike will appreciate all the exclusive content as well as get a unique behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming Silent Hill movie."
You can also expect music content such as a selection of songs from the Silent Hill videogames. The disk will pack some 20 tracks hand-picked by Akira Yamaoka.
Look for Silent Hill Experience to ship this Spring."

It's very interesting, and also contains a few Resident Evil games that should keep you entertained until the next update. Unless, of course, you're a hardcode Resident Evil fan like myself and will play the game over and over again until it has been defeated.

Resident Evil DS (Deadly Silence)

You've more than likely heard of Capcom's plan to re-luanch RE1, yet again. But this time, they will put it on the Nintendo DS, thus the title "Deadly Silence". It is said that both the REmake and original will be playable, there will be a first person mode, and it will be multiplayer. Take a look at the folllowing quote taken directly from IGN.com.

"October 26, 2005 - Resident Evil Deadly Silence is speeding its way towards a Japanese release on 1/19, just a couple of months prior to the tenth anniversary of the original PlayStation Resident Evil. The latest issue of Famitsu features an updated look at the title, giving us a first look at wireless play, the opening movie, the new "classic mode" of play and a control layout.
First, that classic mode. Purists wanting to play Resident Evil in its original form will be able to do so here. Classic mode features the same controls and puzzle layout at as the original PlayStation title, complete with zero stylus use. The event scenes are fully voiced in the DS version and can now be skipped.
Classic mode isn't the only way Capcom is trying to replicate the original. The original's opening movie has been included as well. That's right, the cheesy live-action look at Jill Valentine, Chris Redfield and the rest of the b-cast can be enjoyed on the DS in full form.
When not playing in classic mode, the DS version adds a few new elements to the Resident Evil experience, and Famitsu has provided a control layout so that we can get a better grip on the game before we actually play it. RE: DS will feature pretty much all the basic moves you've come to expect of a Resident Evil title. You can perform a quick turn by pressing down and B. You can make your character reload by holding R (to equip your weapon) and tapping B. Similar to Resident Evil 4, your character is always equipped with a knife, and this can be called out by pressing the L button.
While the main mode of play will be Rebirth Mode, an arranged mode featuring the new first-person knife fights and stylus-based puzzles, the game will also offer wireless (ad-hoc) play. Up to four players will be able to play cooperatively and competitively. In cooperative play, players work together to escape a mansion. Competitive play is a race to kill the most zombies. This mode features a variety of enemies, with your score affected by enemy size. Strangely, in all multiplayer modes, the game displays characters outside of your own with colored icons.
With the new modes and the classic RE included in full form, DS looks like a true anniversary celebration of Resident Evil. The game's US release should follow the Japanese release closely early next year. "

As all of us Resident Evil fans know, the (in)famous Paul W.S. Anderson did a fantastic job on screwing up the plots of Resident Evil with the movies. Don't get me wrong, the movies were great, but in their own way. Apocalypse seemed to be based more around Resident Matrix than Resident Evil, though. Well, for all of you have been hoping that he wouldn't have anything to do with the next Resident Evil movie, you might as well hang up your hats, because that rumor that he had completely left the project circulated for a very short time. He's back. And so is the ever so persistenet Milla Jovovich, who's character, Alice, was pretty good to start of with in the first Resident Evil movie (titled "Genesis", in the novel), but took up the role of Neo, the newest addition to the Resident Evil movie franchise. "Why and when did she decide on this!?" Well, according to this article, which isn't the only out there, by any means, she decided this before Resident Evil: Apocalypse was even released. Well, if there's one good thing about that movie, it's that the title fits it. It was an apocalypse, all right. The apocalypse of the idea that a good Resident Evil movie sequel would be made.

And THIS is the greatest franchise jumper in the US. He's also the guy who willingly admitted, in an interview, that he only played the first 2 Resident Evil games before jumping up and saying "Hey, I need to make a movie out of this!!"

Fortunately----I mean, unfortunately----no screenshots of Resident Evil: Afterlife, the third RE movie, who's sequel has ALREADY been announced (talk about persistence), even though this one hasn't been released. Or finished, for that matter. I mean, they took away Nemesis' tentacles, gave him a gattling gun (he already had a rocket launcher in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis......), and on top of that, they let the want-to-be Neo over there fist fight him----and win!! and the costume looked so pathetic....

Resident Evil 4 Rated Top PS2 Game Of All Time

Yes, it seems to be official. Eith many different ratings, it all adds up to Resident Evil 4 becoming the best PS2 game of all time. No, not this year. All time. It's also in the top 10 Most Violent Videogames list. I intend to update this very soon. I would like to give you a better post with proof instead of me simply saying "Oh, it's been rated top PS2 game of all time", but there's so much junk and coverage surrounding RE4 that it's hard to find one specific thing. Even something as big as this. It's not like it's the first big accomplishment that RE4 has made.

Nightmare Eve
